Windows 11 First Beta Released, How to Install It

Microsoft has finally released the first beta of Windows 11, available to those enrolled in its Windows Insider Program.

Before today, getting access to Windows 11 meant installing the Developer Preview, which Microsoft says is for “highly technical users”. According to Microsoft, the beta release is less volatile, with builds being validated by Microsoft.

To install the beta you’ll need a compatible computer. Here’s how to find out if your pc is compatible with Windows 11.

The beta release is also good news for those who installed the Developer preview because it was the only Windows 11 available but don’t actually need to be on the bug-filled build. To switch to the Beta channel, head over to Settings > Windows Update > Windows Insider Program, then clicking on Choose your Insider Settings.
