As indicated in leaks, Twitter is giving spaces, its new way live audio chatroom feature a dedicated tab in the main navigation bar of its mobile app.
As is the norm, the update has been currently initially available to iOS to select users and will see the app get a new icon in the middle of the navigation bar bringing the total of icons available to five. The app currently has four.
Dubbed the “Spaces discovery tab”, the update will be available to a select 500 or so people who were originally the Spaces beta testers.
In the Spaces discovery tab, you will find a list of spaces being hosted by people you are following displayed in a more aesthetic format, similar to the list found on the Clubhouse app.
Within the tab, users will be able to see active Spaces, respective space names, hosts, and participating tweeps you follow. The tab will also allow users to manage reminders for scheduled Spaces so you’re be notified when they’re about to begin.
Twitter will also begin rolling out another Spaces feature that displays a purple ring around someone’s profile pictures from the Home Timeline.
