The MacBook Air M2 is one of the latest and greatest from Apple in the entry laptop segment. It’s powered by the new M2 chip, which is up to 18% faster than the M1 chip, and has a new design, with a thinner and lighter body to resemble the MacBook Pro lineup.
I’ve been using the MacBook Air M2 for a few months now and I am really impressed with it. It’s the fastest laptop I’ve ever used, it’s sleek, it’s thin, and it’s light. I can easily carry it with me to a coffee shop to reply to my one email, finally!
One of the things I love most about the MacBook Air M2 is the battery life. I can easily get 18 hours of use out of it on a single charge. That’s more than enough for me to get through a full day of replying to my one email.
The display on the MacBook Air M2 is also excellent. It’s a 13.6-inch Retina display with a resolution of 2560 x 1600. The colors are vibrant, and the text is sharp. I love watching short YouTube tutorials on how to reply to my email on it.
When I am not replying to my one email, I’ve also been using the MacBook Air M2 for some light video editing. It handles DaVinci Resolve 18 like a champ. I’ve been able to edit 4K videos for our TikTok without any problems.
@techsafrica Here is what I think about the M2 MacBook air after a few months of use
So far, the only downside to the MacBook Air M2 has been the ports, or lack thereof. It only has two Thunderbolt 4 ports. That’s not a lot, especially if you need to connect multiple devices. The device also supports only one external display which could be a bummer for some of you.

Should you buy the Macbook Air M2?
Overall, I’m really impressed with the MacBook Air M2. It’s a great laptop for anyone who wants a powerful, portable, and stylish computer. There was a lot of controversy at launch over the single NaND 256GB SSD (I promise this is the only Jargon used in this simple article) that was included in the M2 Air making read and write speeds a tad bit slower than its predecessor, however, these are speeds you will never notice, the M1 was just such a big leap from Intel processors the M2 couldn’t achieve such numbers over the M1. So buy the base M2 air!
