Samsung has launched its next-generation Galaxy Book lineup at CES 2025, introducing the Galaxy Book 5 Pro and Galaxy Book 5 360. These new laptops leverage Intel’s cutting-edge Arrow Lake Core Ultra processors with dedicated NPUs, marking Samsung’s bold step into AI-enhanced computing.
The flagship Galaxy Book 5 Pro comes in 14-inch and 16-inch variants, featuring stunning AMOLED displays with WQXGA+ resolution and impressive 120Hz refresh rates. The convertible Galaxy Book 5 360 sports a versatile 15-inch touchscreen design, perfect for creative professionals and multitaskers.
At the heart of these new devices is Samsung’s expanded Galaxy AI ecosystem. The standout feature, AI Select, mirrors the functionality of Circle to Search found on Galaxy smartphones. Users can also take advantage of Photo Remaster, an AI-powered tool that breathes new life into old or blurry photos.
Samsung has significantly improved the integration between Galaxy devices. Through Microsoft Phone Link, users can access Galaxy smartphone features like Live Translate and Transcript Assist directly on their laptops. The company promises even more cross-device features with the upcoming Galaxy S25 series.
Performance gets a substantial boost with the new Intel Core Ultra processors, while battery life reaches up to 25 hours on the Pro model. Fast charging capabilities can restore 35% battery in just 30 minutes. Audio enthusiasts will appreciate the upgraded quad Dolby Atmos speakers with 38mm woofers on the Pro models – twice the size of their predecessors.
The Galaxy Book 5 series will hit shelves in February across major markets including the US, UK, Canada, France, and Germany. While official US pricing remains under wraps, the Korean launch price suggests the 14-inch Pro model will start around $1,200, with the 16-inch version reaching approximately $1,900.
These new laptops represent Samsung’s vision for the future of mobile computing, where AI capabilities and seamless ecosystem integration take center stage in everyday productivity.
