Safaricom, Kenya’s largest telco together with former Global Teacher Prize winner, Peter Mokaya Tabichi, will team up to equip Keriko Mixed Secondary School in Nakuru County with computers and internet connectivity.
The Sh1.7million ICT infrastructure installation project is expected to impact over 200 students.
Already, as part of the initiative, the school’s computer laboratory was refurbished and the institution’s staffroom was given a platform for integrated learning and research.
Peter Tabichi is a science teacher and Franciscan friar at Keriko Mixed Day Secondary School in Pwani, Nakuru County. He is the winner of the 2019 Global Teacher Prize. Tabichi was cited as one of the Top 100 most influential Africans by New African magazine in 2019.
