Tired of the new green look on WhatsApp? If you’re an iPhone user, you might be in luck. According to a recent report by Mahmoud Itani, WhatsApp is developing features that could allow you to customize the app’s appearance.
Chat Themes
A new “chat themes” feature is in the works, giving you the ability to change the color of your chat bubbles and background wallpaper. While specific details are limited, leaks suggest you might be able to choose from preset colors like blue, white, pink, and purple, along with the classic green.
Accent Color Control
In addition to chat themes, WhatsApp will also introduce an option to modify the app’s accent color. This could potentially allow you to change the color of in-app buttons, further personalizing your experience.
Important Caveats:
- Limited to iOS (for now): Currently, these customization features seem to be exclusive to the iOS beta version of WhatsApp. There’s no word on whether or not they’ll eventually make it to the Android app.
- Still Under Development: It’s important to remember that these features are still in development. There’s no guarantee they’ll be rolled out to the public, and if they are, it could take several months.
Overall, this news suggests that WhatsApp might be taking a step towards a more customizable experience, especially for iPhone users. While the current options seem limited, it could be a sign of things to come.
