Facebook-owned messaging service WhatsApp is testing support to send images in high quality without compression
In the latest version of WhatsApp beta v2.21.14.16 for Android, the messaging service has introduced three new quality settings when sending images
Auto (recommended): when chosen, WhatsApp detects and automatically compresses images.
Best quality: WhatsApp will send the image as is without altering the image quality.
Data saver: WhatsApp will use compression algorithms that will send images faster, but with much lesser quality.
According to the online channel that tracks the changes and upcoming features on the app, WhatsApp is also testing a large link preview on Android as well as the iOS app.
