TLcom Capital to Host 6th Annual Africa Tech Female Founder Summit

TLcom Capital, a leading venture capital firm focused on Africa, is gearing up to host its sixth annual Africa Tech Female Founder Summit on Tuesday 15th October 2024 in Nairobi.

The summit, themed “Transformative Leadership: Redefining Success in Tech,” aims to empower female tech entrepreneurs from across the continent. It will provide a platform for networking, learning, and inspiration, fostering a supportive environment for women in tech.

The summit will feature a lineup of influential female entrepreneurs, including Nelly Chatue-Diop of Ejara, Nneile Nkholise of Thola, Rasha Rady of Chefaa, and Sneha Mehta of Uncover. Attendees can also look forward to workshops and mentoring sessions on topics such as budgeting, KPI design, growth strategies, and scaling successfully.

Emerging startups will have the opportunity to pitch their business ideas to a panel of top African investors, including Yemi Keri of Rising Tide Africa and Joyce-Anne Wainai of Chui Ventures. This valuable feedback can help startups refine their strategies and secure funding.

Omobola Johnson, a senior partner at TLcom Capital, highlighted the current challenges faced by tech entrepreneurs, including limited capital and pressure to achieve profitability and scale quickly. She emphasized the importance of having a critical conversation about what it takes to succeed in this new landscape, especially for women.

The summit will focus on the essential qualities that will enable female founders to excel and become prominent leaders in the tech industry. By fostering unity, inspiration, and empowerment, TLcom Capital aims to create a lasting impact on the African tech ecosystem.
