Samsung Galaxy A72 and A52 Launched: Specs, Availability and Price in Kenya

Samsung has today unveiled their latest midrange devices in their line up of A series, the Galaxy A72, A52 and A32 in global launch event dubbed “Samsung Galaxy Awesome Unpacked.

The South Korean company has also confirmed pricing and availability in Kenya.

Key specs on all the devices include IP67 water and dust resistance, brighter screens with faster refresh rates, and a 64-megapixel main camera with optical image stabilization.

Storage variants of 128GB and 256GB will be offered for all models, with RAM configurations

The devices will have Android 11 running on Samsung’s One UI 3.0.

The Samsung Galaxy A52

The Galaxy A52 and A52 5G both feature a 6.5-inch Super AMOLED display

As Techspaceke had earlier reported, the A52’s display will run on a 90Hz refresh rate, while the A52 5G will have a 120Hz screen.

Both sport a rear “quad” camera dock. A 5-megapixel depth sensor, a main 64-megapixel f/1.8 camera, a 12-megapixel f/2.2 ultrawide and a 5-megapixel macro

On the front, the phones have a 32-megapixel f/2.2 selfie shooter.

The A52 models feature brighter screens — up to 800 nits which Samsung says will not drain the 4,500mAh batteries, making the devices capable of two days’ use on a single charge

The Samsung Galaxy A72

The Galaxy A72 comes with a a slightly larger 6.7-inch Super AMOLED screen with a 90Hz refresh rate.

It sports the same rear camera array but includes an 8-megapixel f/2.4 3x telephoto camera instead of the 5 -megapixel depth sensor.

The Samsung Galaxy A72 has a 5000mAh battery.

All the models also include expandable storage and will have a charging brick in the box.

The Samsung Galaxy A52 will cost you Sh.38,999 While the Galaxy A72 will cost you Sh.49,999 and will be available from next week.
