Google Launches Climate Change Accelerator Program for Middle East and Africa Startups

Google has launched a new accelerator program for startups in the Middle East and Africa that are focused on climate change. The Google for Startups Accelerator: Climate Change program is a 10-week, equity-free program that will provide startups with mentorship, technical support, and access to Google’s network of partners.

The program is open to Seed to Series A startups that are developing sustainable technologies, cleantech, or green energy solutions. Selected startups will receive one-on-one mentoring from Google engineers and business experts, as well as access to Google’s cloud computing platform. They will also participate in workshops and training sessions on topics such as product design, marketing, and fundraising.

At the end of the program, startups will pitch their businesses to a panel of investors and partners at a Demo Day. The program is designed to help startups scale their businesses and make a positive impact on the environment.

Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for the Google for Startups Accelerator: Climate Change program, startups must meet the following criteria:

  • Be based in the Middle East or Africa
  • Be in the Seed to Series A stage of development
  • Be focused on sustainable technologies, cleantech, or green energy solutions
  • Have a strong team with a track record of success
  • Be committed to using Google’s technology and resources to make a positive impact on the environment
