Rockstar’s GTA 5 is now free to download from the Epic Games Store, which means it’s yours to keep forever if you get it before May 21st. A spot check by Techspacke however, shows the website is down moments after the offer went live probably due to demand
It is now available to download here if you have an Epic Games Store account, It won’t hurt to keep checking though, GTA 5 is arguably the biggest title the publisher has given away yet and you don’t want to miss out.
Rumors were circulating that Rockstar’s action-adventure epic would be given away for free yesterday, and the news was confirmed by Epic themselves, who prematurely tweeted the announcement below before deleting it.
