Airtel Kenya has officially launched its 5G network, becoming the second operator after Safaricom to offer commercial 5G services in Kenya. The new network will initially be available in 16 counties, with plans to expand to more areas in the future.
Airtel’s 5G network offers data speeds up to 10 times faster than 4G, with latency as low as 1 millisecond. This means that users can enjoy a much faster and smoother experience when streaming video, downloading files, or playing online games.
The new network is also more reliable and secure than 4G, making it ideal for businesses and organizations that need a high-performance network.

Airtel is offering a variety of 5G plans to suit different needs, including home broadband plans, business plans, and individual plans. The plans start at KES 3,500 per month and go up to KES 7,500 per month.
To get started with Airtel 5G, customers will need a 5G-enabled smartphone and a 5G router. The router can be purchased from any Airtel shop or selected partner shops.
Airtel is offering a number of freebies to customers who sign up for 5G, including a one-time bonus of 10GB of data and a 10% discount on the router.
