The Africa’s Business Heroes (ABH) initiative has announced the selection of 50 exceptional entrepreneurs as finalists for its fifth annual competition. Supported by the Jack Ma Foundation and Alibaba Philanthropy, ABH aims to identify and support Africa’s most promising business leaders.
Since its inception in 2019, the program has awarded a total of $7.5 million to 50 entrepreneurs. In addition to the financial prize, winners receive mentorship, networking opportunities, and access to development programs.
This year, the competition received nearly 20,000 applications from across the continent. The 50 finalists represent a diverse range of industries and demonstrate a strong commitment to driving positive change in Africa.
“We are incredibly impressed by the caliber of entrepreneurs in this year’s cohort,” said Zahra Baitie-Boateng, Managing Director for Africa at the Africa’s Business Heroes Initiative. “Their innovative ideas and dedication to their communities are inspiring.”
