Microsoft has now confirmed that its next-gen Windows will be unveiled at an event on June 24th.
The new update to Microsoft’s operating system is codenamed “Sun Valley” and reports suggest that it’ll bring refreshed UI elements, along with other changes.
According to Windows Central, the new Windows update will bring a redesigned taskbar that may have pinned apps making the system tray easier to use on touch screen devices.
Reports also point to Microsoft overhauling its current app store to bringing and making more apps and games easier to find. Developers may also be able to submit different types of apps, including browsers such as Firefox and Chrome.
More features include a new battery usage chart, a news and interests widget in the taskbar and better tab management on Microsoft’s Edge browser.
The tech giant is also planning to bring the Auto HDR feature — available in Xbox X and Xbox S series consoles — to improve the gaming experience on the PC.
